It's that time of year again where everything is about Christmas, Christmas music, Christmas "food" related products, Christmas presents, blah blah blah blah blah
It's also a time for where you get let down with your online shopping!
Imagine this...you sit down with your 6 year old daughter choosing some products, She had an operation on her hand about 2 weeks ago so has not been able to do much in case she hurts it or causes more damage, I wanted to make her feel a bit special and try to enjoy Christmas, she has had to give up so much gymnastics, trampolining, dance, dance competitions, swimming at school and private swimming lessons all because of her hand injury, she is slowly beginning some of her after school activities as she can such as dance and gymnastics but she cannot do swimming for quite a few months and she is very upset about, so I wanted her to start getting excited about Christmas again with what she can do rather than what she cannot do...she expresses interest in only one item, you spend over £60 for 8 items, you pay for the whole order, receive a confirmation and payment of your order and then wait to see when it will be delivered.
I hadn't heard anything for a few days so i logged into my account and notice my order has been dispatched...well all except one item! so I do what any normal person would do, I phoned the customer service line to find out what was going on as i hadn't had an email or phone call to state anything was out of stock, id purchased these items 3 days before, they had taken my money as it HAS come out of my bank account so obviously I wanted to know what the problem was. You guessed it the store had over sold on some items and one of mine was out of stock with no chance of it coming back into stock! oh that's ok because the lady thought it was acceptable to tell me she would look to see what stores had it in store and i could go collect it. How awesome with that, I've qualified for free delivery so its included with my order, the item is only worth £5.47 but that's ok you want me to pay £15 petrol, approx £5 parking to travel to my local store that is over 45 minutes away from where I live, when i don't drive so I would have to get someone to take me, that's if that store has it, if further obviously the petrol price will increase not sure on parking as depends on where it is depends on price of parking.
Of course i was annoyed by this and expressed that and the stupid cow laughed at me! never laugh at a customer who is annoyed and upset they have cocked up their order every time you order online and have no customer service skills, talks over you and thinks its funny that you have to be the one to make contact and find out what the hell is going on and not the other way round.
What am i paying for exactly, why do i have to chase up my items from a well known store who is supposed to have a "magical" customer service...that may of given a hint towards the well known-loved store without naming and shaming....well just yet!
Oh i can have a refund of the item that is not in stock, it just took me phoning and asking what is going on to actually get that offer, i should of been notified before me phoning, oh know one would inform me until I actually receive my order as it would be on the dispatch notice that said item was not dispatched and that I needed a refund, again why did I have to chase this, oh she then checks I've already been refunded, whilst on the phone i checked my Paypal nope no refund, don't lie to me it won't go down well, oh she meant it was with the relevant department, that is not what you said, she said i have received a dispatch notice about this item, i check my emails nope I've not even had a dispatch email been sent (funny after the phone call it miraculously gets sent, still does not inform about said item being out of stock and that I would not be receiving it).
So i asked to speak to a manager oh that's right I am not allowed to be passed over i have to wait up to 48 hours to receive a phone call, a bit more annoyed but nothing i can do, i accept this and give 2 alternative phone numbers. I also confirmed a phone number linked to the account when getting through security.
I messaged the Facebook team to see if there was anything else could be done, nope everything was re-iterated, that is not acceptable why should I accept THEIR mishap.
I receive an email from a manager stating he wishes to make contact however I would have to supply a phone number in order to do that....NOW I AM ANGRY...i gave it to your customer service representative on the phone when she put the request in. i gave it to your goons on the Facebook platform so that's twice and now your requesting it a 3rd time! really...what happened to customer service, why should I have to chase everything up, repeat myself hundreds of times to get such incompetent staff!
This was from a manager, the person who is supposed to resolve an issue when someone else cannot, instead he makes it worse, i can see the number linked to my account, i have confirmed this with the customer service representatives but yet I really have to give these details again, NOT HAPPY.
I have had no contact from this manager after a few hours of sending my phone number AGAIN!, getting annoyed with how bad this customer service has been when it should be a magical time with Christmas around the corner.
I'm fed up with companies taking full payment for items and not fulfilling their contract of sale. Why take full payment and accept the order if its not in stock.
The so called manager messaged me thanking me for my number but ignoring everything else and has now stated it will be another 24-48 hours for a manager to contact me...wait...what...I thought this person was the manager as that is how he has addressed himself, so if i went on 48 hours from original request that would take me up to friday evening, now with this add on it will take me until saturday evening.
This store is really starting to grate me...on the plus side I have just received my order and it is stunning

Tesco finest vintage English cheddar cheese
I was accepted onto the Tesco orchards finest cheese campaign. I received a £3 coupon for £3 off any tesco finest cheese and some pass along coupons to give to friends and family. I went to my local tesco and found the tesco finest cheese selection easily on the shelf once i was in the cheese section, there was a big selection to choose from and we seen the Tesco finest vintage English cheddar cheese on offer for £2.50 so we picked up two packs as we thought this would be the best fit for our family as we are big cheddar cheese fans but not so keen on other cheeses. I had no problem using my coupon at the till but I did ask where I received my coupon to which I replied Tesco orchard.
I took my cheese home and wanted to try it straight away...I'm a bit impatient like that so we decided to go for enchiladas, we grated the cheese and it grated nicely, it didn't stick together like some cheese can and it gave nice even slices and not breaking a part or crumbling, it was really nice cheese to work with. We sprinkled it on top of the enchiladas and put it in the oven for a few minutes and as you can see above it came out beautifully. We don't like our cheese overcooked or burnt, we like it when it goes all stringy like. When it came to eating it, it was really nice, it has a slightly different taste from our normal cheese but it was nice, the texture of the cheese was good too.
I tried it on a few dishes such as cheese on toast and we made cheesy pasta and again all nice.
We hadn't tried it just on its own yet so we cut off a few slices and tried one bit on its own and it was absolutely delicious, it melted in your mouth with a creamy texture. So we had some crackers with it and my daughter just ate the cheese, she is a big cheese fan and could eat it all day if you let her.
The packaging was nice, it was just a basic white packaging with a black label telling you what it was, you could easily see this is a premium cheese but does the packaging really matter...not really it's more about the product on the inside but sometimes we can be swayed just by the packaging on the outside.
I got this for free buy joining the Tesco Orchard, i have had quite a few campaigns now and they get better and better, you have nothing to lose by joining up and you could be trialing products too just by leaving some reviews, facebook posts, twitter posts and whatever else it asks you to do on the campaign.
The reviews i leave are my own personal experiences, you may have a slightly different experience as we are all different, the reviews I write are honest, I would never leave a good review on a bad product as what is the point and I personally hate it when people do that as if someone goes out and purchases it on their recommendation, they have then just wasted their money.
My reviews are my own personal feelings and I have not been paid, bribed etc to leave a positive review and I do not have to leave a positive review just because I have joined the Tesco Orchard as negative reviews are accepted too.
Thank you all for reading and hope you grab a bargain, trial a new product and have a great day much love Tasha xx

July's Freebies and coupons
My husband was made redundant in June 2015 so money was a little tight, we were lucky we were prepared but things were and are still a little tight as he started his new job at the start of august 2015.
I was looking for ways we could save a bit of money on our shopping bill as in august alone it was my birthday, my daughters 6th birthday, husbands nieces birthday, we had alton towers booked and paid for and chessington booked and paid for way before hubby was made redundant (just needed petrol and food) and also school uniform for when my daughter goes back to school in September.
A post on facebook caught my eye where some people had managed to get complimentary coupons for giving honest feedback on a product or to the company itself whether it was a compliment or complaint.
It got me thinking about how I could use this without taking advantage, I thought about just doing a few companies to see what I could get to help with my bills.
I had a bad experience at Frankie and Benny's on fathers day so I put a complaint in (I won't go into the ins and outs) however they very nicely sent me a £20 voucher to use when we next visit.
I was accepted on my first supersavvyme campaign where me and my husband got to try something each I had the Braun Silk-epil 5 and hubby had the Braun Series 3 shaver.
I was accepted onto the bzzagent campaigne, where you get to try all 3 flavours of the new Jacob's cracker crisps with some coupons to pass out.
I received a few coupons allowing me to get a free product from yazoo.
I received 3 random flavour boxes of popz microwave popcorn.
A voucher to get a free pack of petit filous yogurts.
Vouchers from Tesco orchard to try the Tesco finest cheese.
Not in the picture a £5 Gu coupon and a set of goggles from zoggs (daughters broke in the first week).
We also got 2 £5 vouchers from build a bear for spending so much and having the loyalty scheme and because it was my daughters birthday we also had 2 £3 vouchers. So my daughter got £16 worth of build a bear clothes for free. You have to spend a certain amount to get the £5 voucher but my daughter had some money saved up and knew what she wanted to get.
I did find it a bit cheeky and embarrassing emailing companies asking for a freebie or a coupon but I was surprised with the generosity given, we were genuinely grateful as every little really helps at the moment.
If you havn't already take a look at bzzagent and supersavvy me for products to try and sometimes coupons and Tesco orchard for vouchers to try at Tesco, you do have some surveys etc to fill out but they are really easy and if you get something to try for it, it is definitely worth it, I have had some great stuff to trial thanks to the named companies above.
Also take a look at your loyalty cards/schemes to see if your entitled to anything or if you can build something up.
Thank you for reading, I hope this inspires you to try and save money for your family and helps you out a little bit, good luck and much love tasha xx

How to advertise your business
I always get asked about how to advertise a business, whether it is nails, hair, beauty, a company just starting up or if you are representative of a company. The person asking is normally struggling with sales or getting clients and wants a challenge to boost what they are earning but are stumped on how to do it.
You just need to put your thinking head on...when you are out and about take a look around at anyone advertising:
You just need to put your thinking head on...when you are out and about take a look around at anyone advertising:
- What do you see?
- Where do you see the advertisements? On a car, a sign, a leaflet, a shop?
- What can you hear?
- Is it someone you have overhead talking about a brand or recommendation?
If you are a nail technician make sure your nails are done to a good standard as this will be a talking point when you are out and about and could bring in potential clients, the potential client can then see your work up close and make a decision if that is what they want, normally a bit of nail art gets someone talking and brings interest but wait....how do you make sure they remember your business name?
Do you have a business name? if not you will need one, something distinctive so they remember your company name,
Make yourself an email address and website, It doesn't have to be one that charges there are free ones available, so when a potential client is searching on google for something that matches the criteria yours will be there, this way they can interact with you. This could be booking an appointment, asking a general question or even ordering something.
Have a facebook page as nearly everything nowadays are on facebook, it will have your website address (if you have one not always necessary) phone number, treatment and price list, location, what you sell etc, they will be able to contact you, see your details and leave you a review, you can also put up pictures of your work to show what standard you are working at.
Business cards, you can get them done at vistaprint at an affordable cost, it doesn't have to be fancy but keep it current to what you are working in, make sure your business name, what you do, phone number and location are on there. Always keep a set on you, so when a potential client asks about your services you can hand them a business card so they don't forget they have spoken to you or what your company is and go to a competitor.
You could make a leaflet up, again current details such as business name, phone number, location, treatment and price list etc everything you need to advertise your business. You could keep them in your salon, home based salon, mobile or just to hand out, you could make a bit more and advertise in other places.
Where else could I advertise my business?:
- Your local Gym
- At a salon (not providing the same treatments)
- Photographer (maybe work in a deal you advertise them and vice versa for a potential discount)
- Your local supermarket, you may need to pay a small price
- Your local corner shop again you may need to pay a small price
- A Local business advertising leaflet - check if costs are involved
- Yellow pages - check if costs are involved
- Your own website
- Your own Facebook page/group
- Local selling sites on facebook
- Gumtree
- Netmums
- Through letter boxes - check rules on fly tipping
- On peoples car windows - check rules on fly tipping
- Giving your friend a freebie in return of advertising you to their friends and family for potential clients
- Hand a business card out to anyone who has any interest in your business
- keeping contact (do not stalk! or pester)
- Business e-newsletters
- Ask friends and family to hand out flyers, business cards etc in return of a discount or freebie
- Run a promotion - for people in beauty when having a set of nails, get gel polish on toes for free, this way you are showing them a new treatment and gives the potential for them to book in for that treatment in the future
- Loyalty cards - example after 5 treatments 1 free same treatment or other
- Discount for trying a new design/style
- Run a competition for a new set
- Create a package - prom season is a good one, christmas, wedding etc
When giving clients your phone number you could be in for contact at any hours of the day as some clients feel you should answer 24 hours a day 7 days a week, I have seen lots of techs getting upset at getting a message at say 3am but remember this could be a convenient time for the client to message as they may not have any other time to book but you do NOT have to reply at that time and obviously reply at a convenient time within your working hours.
You may want to look into getting a business mobile, it is your decision if it is pay and go or contract and you will have to work out what is cost effective just so you can turn it off at the end of your working day so that you do not get disturbed when you are in bed, out and about, a birthday, somewhere inappropriate eg out drinking lol. This way it doesn't effect your personal time by yourself, with your family, friends etc.
Always take pictures of your work and show it off on your page, website etc but please make sure you watermark them! I see it all the time where others are stealing other peoples work and taking the credit for your hand work so please please please watermark your pictures, put your business name on or your own name just so that when someone sees that picture they can see and know it is yours.
There are companies out there who can make you a company logo, leaflets etc it isn't something you have to have and something you want to look into before going a head with costs involved, this would be something relevant to your company and would be unique.
I hope this helps everyone who is struggling to advertise and needed a bit of help, I wish you every success in your business,Thank you for reading, much love tasha xxx

Birthday Sweet Cones
Birthday Sweet Cones
It was coming up to my daughters 6th birthday and we wanted to do something different, we have always done goodies bags and they have always been hit and miss if the child likes them or not, especially if the child is older than the others. So we got thinking about what we could do that also would not break the bank balance. We thought what child doesn't like sweets, yes the parents may get annoyed if their child gets hyper after eating them but once we hand the "goodie bag" or "sweet cone" over it is down to the parent if they let them have it, so we decided we would make a sweet cone based on our daughters favorites and what we thought the others would like too.
I started looking online at what I could get and straight away I found a large pack of 25 sweet cones for 99p free postage, bargain as they came with something to tie it up with too, they took approx a week to be delivered.
The next task was the sweets, we went around number shops and got them in 3 trips as we could not get everything we wanted on the first trip.
The sweets we used in order in the sweet cone were:
- Bubblegum (Blue) millions
- Smarties
- Haribo Starmix
- Rainbow drops
- Mini marshmallows
- Large marshmallows
- Frozen wrapped individual chocolate (hidden between the marshmallows)
It took us about 10 minutes to make them all up but we didn't have anywhere to put them, so I searched and I found a gift basket, we put them in the gift basket but thought there was something missing, I had a bit of curling ribbon so I added a bow around the top just to give it that little something extra.
They still looked a bit plain so I ordered some stickers with minions on which at the moment is my daughters favourite and added Thank you for coming to my party love Ebony xx. The stickers which my daughter put on really gave it that final touch and they were a big hit, every child who received one loved them. The parents were impressed too, they thought we bought them but we actually made them.
These were really easy to make and gave the party that bit of an extra touch, I will say be careful with them we did have one accident where one child hit something else with their sweet cone and millions went everywhere haha (we did offer to clean it up) otherwise a big success!
You don't have to make these for a birthday, this could be made with your child/children just to have some fun by spending time making something with them, Easter, Valentine's day, Christmas, you could add one to your child/children's Christmas eve box if they have one or just a nice treat.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a big success with making your own sweet cones, much love tasha xx

Braun Silk-epil 5 and Braun Series 3
I joined supersavvyme a few years ago but never got accepted for a campaign, well my luck changed and i finally got accepted for a campaign that both myself and my husband could try together, I received the Braun Silk-epil 5 (epilator) and my husband received the Braun Series 3 (shaver). Once accepted they did not take long to arrive, they came on the day they said they would which was exciting, they came in a massive box. When we opened the box the above picture is what we found inside, it came with both products as well as a project handbook that tells you about the products and what we have to do to complete this campaign.
We had to leave a review on the supersavvyme tried and tested page where other people can see reviews for the products and make their own decision based upon the reviews, I myself check reviews on products before I trial it, just because I see a bad review if the price isn't too bad I may still trial it as I may find another result that others haven't, as what works for one may not work for another.
These are the reviews we left for the products above.
Braun Silk-epil 5 - My product review
i have never used an epilator before and i got this for free from supersavvyme to trial, i have always used a normal razor, it came really nicely packaged, the epilator looked nice, it wasn't too heavy which is important as i struggle with some because i have upper arm problems, i was a bit nervous using it but i needn't of been, it was so easy to use, it didn't hurt and it left my legs silky smooth, i would definitely recommend others to try who havn't done so before. It is slightly noisy but if you do it with music in the background you don't nervous, i wasn't overly too impressed with having to find a plug to fit as it came with not a uk fitting but luckily i had one lying about so it didn't matter too much. all the information i needed for use was all in the box
Braun Series 3 - Husbands product review
hubby got this free to trial from supersavvyme on a dual trial, it came in a nice packaging, it isn't too heavy, it looks good. it is very easy to use, leaves a nice smooth finish, my husband loved all the extras it came with and having it altogether, it didn't pull the hair or irritate the skin, it is easy to clean, hubby was impressed and so was i.
So we tested the products and thought they were great, I would recommend them as it was both our first times trying something like these and they have worked for us, will I continue to use them....? yes I will but I will always try something new as with most women and mothers you want something that is easy and quick but also want something that's new.
These are my own and my husband's personal opinions, we have not been paid to write this review, this personal review was not asked, yes we got free products to trial but I will not be penalized if I left a negative review, I however have left a positive review as this is my own findings and correct at time of posting. I know how frustrating it is to find a positive review on a product that is not great and felt mislead.
Thank you for reading everyone much love Tasha xxx

Christmas Eve Box created for my daughter
I was looking on Pinterest at Christmas crafts and I seen a Christmas Eve box, it had a new set of pjs, hot chocolate, a book and a DVD, I thought it was a fantastic, so I got thinking. I started thinking about what my 4 year old little girl would want if she had one and what I would put it in, she loves reading, stickers and lately watching Christmas films whilst eating a little bit of popcorn. We had recently had sky hd installed with a new sky box so I thought the box it came in would be fantastic to store everything in it, I then wrapped it in ebony’s wrapping paper she choose (monsters inc), it was really tricky wrapping it as it had so many different flaps but I managed it. I put in a brand new pink Christmas onesie, a Christmas book, a Christmas sticker book, 2 bags of sweet microwave popcorn, 3 DVDs and I put 4 bags of different chocolate sweet bags in, obviously these aren’t all for her as me and her dad will be watching it all with her, so I have catered for all. This box has a lot of potential such as adding hot chocolate, I would have added hot chocolate with marshmallows but ebony doesn’t like it. I hope this inspires you to create a Christmas Eve box for yourself or even your little one/ones. My little girl has seen hers and is really excited about it, more so than her Christmas presents which I didn’t think was possible! She has shown off her box to all her family and friends, some of which are now considering making one for their child/children. It has been a lot of fun creating this for my daughter and watching her with excitement seeing her box. I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas wherever you all may be, I wish you good health and happiness much love Tasha xxx

A2 milk review
I got these free from a2 milk via bzzagent and was excited to try this campaign, I received a booklet informing about a2 milk, some coupons for myself and some coupons to pass on to friends and family. I am always sensitive to milk so I try and have as little as possible. I received the vouchers through the post and then the fun began…trying to locate the milk in a shop, i struggled at first but then managed to find it in one of the big Tesco Extra stores. The best bit with using the coupons was what happened at the till, the milk was £1.99 each or 2 for £3.50, I used 2 coupons at £1.99 each so it took 48p off my other shopping! can’t complain with that.
I went home and couldn’t wait to trial the milk, it came in a cute little packaging. So I tried the milk with tea, hot chocolate, cereal and milkshakes, I really could not tell the difference between normal milk and a2 milk and neither could my family members. So so far so good. Myself and my daughter has a sensitive stomach and sometimes feel ill after drinking too much milk, I normally try to eat as little milk as possible with my cereal but I gave it a shot with a2 and I was surprised to say I did not feel sick, I had no cramps and I had no bloating which is what I normally get when I drink normal milk. After 2 weeks trialling the milk, I can finally see the difference between normal milk and a2 milk, its how I feel within myself with not feeling ill all of the time and where before I wanted to stay in, I am now happy to go out, I would definitely recommend this to people who have sensitive stomachs.
Now that I am feeling better within myself, I am now motivated to lose the weight and take care of myself and all because of the difference I feel within my body.
The following below is taken from A2
Some may not be aware that their issues could be related to an intolerance to A1 protein. Found in regular milk, some may struggle to digest A1. Luckily, a2 Milk is sourced from British cows that naturally produce only milk containing A2 protein and no A1 protein.
These are my own personal views on the product, I was NOT paid or told to leave a positive review, I was asked to leave an accurate view of how I felt, these are all my own words, thoughts and opinions.

L’oreal Paris Casting Crème Gloss Review
I received the L’oreal Paris Casting Crème Gloss in the colour Plum free to try from L’oreal via BzzAgent. My hair was annoying me as the colour had faded and it looked dull and this campaign was right up my street. I was happy to see they had some actual colours on there, rather than just being the normal natural colours of blondes and browns. So I chose the colour Plum, when it came I was so excited, it came in a nice pink box and the packaging for the hair colour looked cute. I read the instructions and it said it would develop in 20 minutes and that it was ammonia free. It came with the colour, the developer, gloves and conditioner, I also had some coupons to hand out to friends for them to try with some money off. I opened it and mixed it together, there was no horrible smell like the other colours I have used in the past, it was a nice smell, it was very easy to apply and didnt take to long, I have very thick and long hair so it would of been nice to have a little extra product. I waited the 20 minutes and i had no dripping, I did accidently lean against the cream leather sofa and white living room door…OOPS, it came off the door but still have some on the sofa. I washed the colour out which took approx 10-15 minutes for the water to fully run clear and I used the conditioner. My hair smelt really nice. I went downstairs to dry my hair so I couldn’t see myself in the mirror, I wanted the full effect, after finishing drying my hair I went and looked in the mirror….WOW, my hair was a bit darker than I expected but I thought it was great, it was a nice dark purple colour and when you stepped in the light you could see a really light vibrant purple tone. My hair felt great, it did not feel damaged in any way and felt renewed, vibrant and full of life. The colour actually did what it said on the packaging and it fulfilled what it promised. I am impressed, I have washed my hair and havn’t found it has faded yet as it says it lasts upto 28 washes.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants something different, that isn’t permanent and wants their hair to feel great, I do not have any grey hairs so I cannot comment about that but I have heard good results from friends saying it does.
I may of received this product for free but I have NOT been told what to right or leave a positive review, I have been asked to leave an honest review and this is my honest opinion.
Thanks everyone for reading much love Tasha xxx
